Davide Morabito is a documentary filmmaker, writer, and creative producer with over twenty-five years of international experience. After starting out in the art direction department—a role he continues to fulfill on select projects—he has built his career by developing and producing documentaries, gaining solid experience over time in the creative, editorial, and production fields. He has collaborated with leading production companies and major Hollywood studios to create special content for Netflix, Ubisoft, Disney-20th Century, Universal, and Paramount, among others.

Among his most significant works is *Il Colosseo in Quarantena*, a documentary for the History Channel produced in collaboration with the Parco Archeologico del Colosseo. Aired in 2020, it was distributed on Now TV and RSI and aired on The Heritage Broadcasting Service in the United States. It was selected for international film festivals in Sydney, Tirana, Beirut, Rovereto, and Agrigento, solidifying his reputation as a filmmaker capable of portraying cultural heritage with a contemporary sensibility.

As a creative producer for Lucisano Media Group, he contributed to the development of Mimmo Calopresti’s *Romanzo Radicale* for Rai Fiction and Giovanni Troilo’s *Poteri di Roma* for Sky Cinema. He served as director of photography on Helene Choquette’s documentary *Like a Pebble in the Booth*, produced by Radio Canada and CBC’s Doc Channel, and has directed documentary features such as *Un posto in Paradiso*, filmed in Iraq. He has published the novel *La miglior cena di tutti i tempi* (The Best Dinner of All Time).

His work often stems from a desire to explore stories that touch on identity, travel, and memory. This is true of the projects he has developed and presented on the international market: *Unknown Path*, about Edward Lear’s journey through Calabria; *Italian Love Promises*, about Chinese couples who come to Italy to get married; *My Italian Cousin Steven*, dedicated to Steven Tyler’s connection to his Calabrian roots; as well as documentaries on Ponza and the Tiber River, along with numerous behind-the-scenes features and web productions.

An expert in the international audiovisual market, he has served on the national board of Doc/It, teaches master classes at leading Italian film schools, and continues to work as an independent writer and filmmaker, exploring forms that focus on the relationship between people, places, and stories.
